26km 2D Seismic Survey Commenced at QEM’s Flagship Julia Creek Project

  • A 26km 2D seismic surveying program is currently underway at QEM’s flagship Julia Creek
    project, located in North Western Queensland, Australia.
    • The survey is being undertaken by Velseis Pty Ltd and the seismic data acquired will assist
      with increasing the geological confidence of the project.
    • The seismic data gathered through the survey will play an important role in the
      assessment of potential mine designs and also in the process of planning the Prefeasibility study for the Julia Creek project.
    QEM Limited (“QEM”, the “Company”) (ASX:QEM) is pleased to announce that it has commenced its seismic
    surveying program on its flagship Julia Creek project, covering 496km² in the Julia Creek area of North
    Western Queensland, Australia. As announced on 6 February 2019, the Company has engaged Velseis
    Pty Ltd (“Velseis”) to conduct the survey of which the results will show the geological structure of the
    seams across the project area, which will then be input into the geological model. The objective of the
    survey is to increase the geological confidence of the deposit. The seismic data gathered through the
    survey will play an important role in the assessment of potential mine designs and also in the process
    of planning the Pre-feasibility study for the Julia Creek project.
