An investigation is underway after two women were critically injured in a two-vehicle crash on the state’s South Coast yesterday.
Just after 4.45pm yesterday (Thursday 12 February 2026), emergency services were called to Princes Highway, at Falls Creek, following reports of a SUV and a hatchback had collided.
The driver of SUV – a 64-year-old woman – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Wollongong Hospital for further treatment and mandatory testing.
The other driver – a 67-year-old woman – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to St George Hospital in a critical condition.
Her passenger – a 66-year-old woman – was airlifted to Liverpool Hospital where she also remains in a critical condition.
Both vehicles were seized to be forensically examined.
Officers attached to South Coast Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation with the assistance from officers attached to Crash Investigation Unit.
