98 cannabis plants seized after search warrant, NSW

A man has been charged following the seizure of 98 cannabis plants at a property in the states Central West last week.

Following an investigation, officers attached to Central West Proactive Crime Team (PCT) executed a search warrant at a property on Ophir Road, Orange about 9.50am on Tuesday 8 December 2020.

Officers allegedly located and seized, 98 cannabis plants, fertiliser and equipment.

The equipment will be forensically examined.

Following inquiries, a 30-year-old man was arrested at Orange Police Station at 10.40am today (Tuesday 15 December 2020) where he was charged with cultivate prohibited plant – commercial quantity and possess prohibited plant – commercial quantity.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Orange Local Court on Monday 1 February 2021.
