The ABC’s NSW newsroom is rolling out social media videos featuring Sydney community leaders delivering health warnings in a variety of languages.
So far the community service videos have been produced in:
- Assyrian – the top non-English language spoken at home in Fairfield – with Dr Mariam Joseph from NSW Health
- Vietnamese, with Federal President of the Vietnamese Community in Australia Kate Hoang
- Cantonese, with Georges River Councillor Nancy Liu
- Mandarin, with GP Dr Jiang Li
Videos in Arabic and Khmer are underway.
The videos are being produced by the ABC’s Western Sydney team and are based on NSW Health messaging.
The videos are featuring on the ABC Sydney Facebook and Instagram accounts and being cross-promoted on the ABC NEWS channel and 7pm News.
