Police are investigating a crash in Balwyn North this morning.
It is understood a vehicle crashed into a tree on Severn Street near the intersection with Doncaster Road, just before 4am.
The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital, with life-threatening injuries.
The exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined at this stage.
