Activating small businesses in multicultural communities

The Tasmanian Liberal Government is delivering on the commitment outlined in our first 100 Day Plan to provide $100,000 towards establishing a two-year pilot of Small Enterprise Business Loans, targeted at migrant and multicultural communities.

This pilot will support highly skilled migrants with interest free loans of up to $5,000 and will also link them with industry bodies in growth areas to maximise their chances of success.

The Government has engaged with the Migrant Resource Centre, in order to develop and advance this initiative which will assist migrants realise their dream of setting up their own business.
