Ai Group Wins at Endeavour Awards

Ai Group, in partnership with Swinburne University, last night won in the category of Excellence in Manufacturing Skills Development at the national Endeavour Awards.

Ai Group and Swinburne were awarded for their ground-breaking Industry 4.0 Higher Apprenticeship project.

Ai Group Head of Workforce Development, Megan Lilly, said: “This project was recognised as genuinely ground-breaking by blending the best of vocational and higher education while developing skills for emerging jobs. The program enables young people to develop valuable and enduring future-facing skills. The award recognises that the Industry 4.0 Higher Apprenticeship program is paving the way forward for both individuals and companies. It recognises that skills can be developed in new and fresh ways enabling individuals to effectively and meaningfully participate in our transforming economy,” Ms Lilly said.

Ai Group has led and managed this project with Swinburne as the vocational and higher education provider and Siemens as the employer. This three way partnership has been central to the success of this project. The Endeavour Awards are presented annually by Manufacturers’ Monthly, and are supported by National Manufacturing Week.

Recognised as the premier Awards program within the manufacturing industry, the awards are a chance for all involved in manufacturing across Australia to celebrate the many successes within the industry.
