Airnorth announces flights between Alice Springs and Perth

  • Airnorth launches non-stop service between Alice Springs and Perth
  • Three services per week will bring thousands of passengers to Perth each year
  • Service commences in March 2024

Australia’s second-longest-running airline, Airnorth, has announced a new non-stop service between Alice Springs and Perth which will commence in March 2024.

The Darwin-based airline will operate three services per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays on their E170 aircraft, adding nearly 12,000 inbound seats into Western Australia each year.

Airnorth currently flies between Darwin, Perth, Kununurra, and Broome.

Supported by the WA Government, the new service builds on Western Australia’s position as the nation’s Western Gateway through growing the State’s domestic network.

The new flights are set to be packaged to encourage east coast visitors to continue to Perth from Alice Springs, and will also invite overseas travellers to enter the country through Perth, before continuing on to Alice Springs.

As stated by Tourism Minister Rita Saffioti:

“We’re always excited to welcome another direct link into WA – this time from Alice Springs into Perth.

“New domestic services between popular interstate tourism destinations like Alice Springs provide us with more opportunities to attract out-of-state visitors from across the country.

“It’s been a very busy couple of years in the aviation space for our State, with 18 new or relaunched non-stop international flights to Perth secured by our Government since borders reopened, and of course, more direct flights recently announced from the eastern states into our South West region.”
