The Alice Springs Masters Games (ASMG) is on track to return in 2023. The decision has been made in light of continuing uncertainty around COVID-19, and the impacts the worldwide pandemic has had on forward planning for the event.
A multisport event that takes place across numerous venues, the Masters Games have been attracting competitors from around the nation to Central Australia since they first took place in 1986.
Usually held every two years, the ASMG 2020 was deferred to 2022 due to COVID-19.
Deferring the event until 2023 will also allow event organisers to refresh the program, and further develop the event for the next games and into the future.
