Animal cruelty incident in South Hedland

South Hedland Police are investigating an animal cruelty incident that occurred overnight.

Between 9.30pm on Tuesday 23 April and 5.45am on Wednesday 24 April 2019, unknown persons have entered the rear yard of a property on Acacia Way in South Hedland.

The offenders bludgeoned 10 birds (turkey, chickens & quails) which were in their coops. The birds received either critical or fatal injuries and the critical injured birds needed to be euthanized.

Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity during the above times who saw any suspicious activity or vehicles.
