Appeal after carjacking in Parramatta

Police are appealing for public assistance to identify two men after reports of a carjacking in Sydney West early this morning.

About 3.15am (Wednesday 26 January 2022), a 34-year-old man was completing a delivery at a nursing home on Fleet Street, Parramatta, when an unknown man entered the driver’s seat of his delivery truck.

The delivery driver attempted to remove the man from the driver seat when a second unknown man approached from a white utility parked nearby and threatened him with an unidentified silver object.

The two men drove from the scene – one in the white 2011 Hino FC delivery truck, with NSW registration ‘BN77CE’ and the other in the unknown white utility.

Officers attached to Parramatta Police Area Command attended and commenced investigations.

Police are appealing for public assistance to identify two men believed to be able to assist inquiries.

One man is described as Caucasian, with short brown hair and a scar on the right side of his forehead.

The second man is described at Caucasian, 175cm to 180cm tall, with brown hair and a beard, wearing a high vis shirt and carrying a shiny metallic object. He is believed to be driving a white utility with two toolboxes on either side of the tray.
