Appeal after man injured in crash, NSW

Police are appealing for information after a man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash in Sydney’s inner west.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Concord and Coonong Road, Concord West, just after 11.30pm (Saturday 10 December 2022), after reports a Mercedes GLA 200 crashed into a tree.

The passenger, a 46-year-old man, sustained serious head injuries and was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, then taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.

Officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak with anyone who may have been travelling along Concord Road, near the intersection of Coonong Road, shortly before the crash.

Police are particularly appealing to the occupants of a blue SUV travelling behind the Mercedes at the time of the crash, a black SUV travelling next to the Mercedes, and a white SUV travelling in the opposite direction.
