Appeal after reported child approach at Deniliquin, NSW

Police are appealing for information after reports of a child approach in Deniliquin yesterday.

About 3pm, Thursday 29 April 2021, a 12-year-old girl was walking along Poictiers Street, Deniliquin, when she was approached by an unknown man.

Police have been told the man attempted to grab the girl before she was able to get away from him.

The incident was reported to police this morning, Friday 30 April 2021, and officers from Murray River Police District have commenced an investigation.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 30s, with messy brown hair.

He was seen wearing a green flannelette shirt, dirty baggy jeans and black boots.
