Wellington Police investigating a crash from April are appealing for information from the public to assist our enquiries.
Police have received a report of an historic crash, involving a vehicle and a mobility scooter, at a pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Dixon and Taranaki Streets, on Saturday 25 April (ANZAC Day) just before midnight.
The mobility scooter rider received some injuries and was tended to by members of the public, and the mobility scooter was damaged beyond repair.
Some members of the public spoke to the driver of the vehicle, but the driver eventually left the scene.
The crash was not reported to Police or ambulance services at the time, but a report was made the following month.
Police have made a number of enquiries, however at this stage have been unable to locate the vehicle involved, or the driver.
