Appeal: Serious injury in West Gladstone, QLD

Detectives from the Gladstone Criminal Investigation Branch are appealing for public assistance after a man was located with life threatening injuries in West Gladstone last month.

Police were called to a licenced venue carpark along the Dawson Highway near Far Street around 2am on Tuesday, February 13, where they located a 52-year-old man with head injuries.

He was transported to Gladstone Hospital and later flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Detectives have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Initial information indicates the man may have been travelling on an e-scooter in the lead up to the incident, however, the exact cause of his injuries remains unclear.

Any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision or CCTV from Dawson Highway and Far Street around 10pm on February 12 are urged to come forward.
