Appeal to locate elderly man missing from Carlingford

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man reported missing from Sydney’s northwest.

Ning Ye, aged 88, was last seen in the Carlingford area yesterday (Saturday 13 May 2023), late in the afternoon.

When he failed to return home or make contact with family members, he was reported missing to officers from Cumberland Police Area Command, who commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for Ning’s welfare due to his age and living with dementia.

Ning is described as being of Asian appearance, 172cm tall, of thin build, with short white hair, and walks with a shuffle.

He was last seen wearing a red woollen jumper, brown camouflage pants, and black, green and dark blue slippers.

Anyone who may have seen Ning or has information regarding his whereabouts is urged to contact Cumberland Police Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
