Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man missing from Sydney’s west.
Viliami Taliai, aged 89, was last seen on Palmer Street, Guildford West, about 5am today (Thursday 30 July 2026).
When he was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were notified about and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
Police and family have concerns for his welfare as he lives with dementia and other medical conditions.
Viliami is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, about 175cm-185cm tall, with a medium build and grey hair.
He was last seen wearing black pants, a blue jacket and uses a walking stick.
Viliami is known to use the public transport network and frequents Guildford and Sydney’s CBD.
