Territory sportingclubs, organisations and individuals are set to benefit from sport and activerecreation grant funding programs now open for applications.
The Grass Roots Grant program supportsparticipation initiatives, volunteer development, purchasing of equipment,planning and promotional activities with up to $5,000 funding available.
In 2018-2019, a totalof 35 organisations received support to the value of $120,787 via the GrassRoots Grant program.
Applications for GrassRoots Grants Round 1 close 15 September 2019. Round 2 will open on 1 November 2019 and close1 March 2020.
The Quick Response Grant program providesfunding of up to $10,000 for emergency situations to replace equipmentdestroyed due to things like fire, flood, storm and theft, or for activitiesthat have arisen that could not have been planned for.
The Quick Responseprogram also provides funding to individuals selected to represent Australia.
In 2018-2019, a totalof 17 organisations or individuals received support to the value of $134,760via the Quick response grant program.
Applications for QuickResponse Grants close are open until 31 May 2020, or until funding is exhausted.
