Architect appointed for upgrades at Eastern Hills Senior High School

  • ​Architects appointed for Eastern Hills Senior High School $2 million upgrades to cafeteria and specialist facilities
  • Cafeteria and specialist classrooms will provide a modern and spacious space for more than 900 students
  • Construction expected to start in August 2021
  • Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery has today announced that Parry and Rosenthal Architects have been selected to design the upgrades to the cafeteria and specialist classrooms at Eastern Hills Senior High School.  

    The upgraded facilities – worth $2 million – will be designed to accommodate students in modern and relaxing spaces as well as improving learning in specialist classrooms.  

    The cafeteria will include a refurbished interior and re-organisation of the original counter interface.

    Specialist classrooms will also receive upgrades to bring them up to a more modern standard.

    With the project progressing on schedule, construction is expected to start in August 2021 with completion anticipated for mid-2022.

    This project is part of the McGowan Government’s WA Recovery Plan.

    As stated by Education and Training Minister Sue Ellery:

    “We’re committed to investing in facilities at WA public schools to ensure that students are learning in modern and welcoming environments.

    “There are close to 1,000 students enrolled at Eastern Hills Senior High School who will benefit from a fresh new cafeteria and upgraded food and technology classrooms.”

    As stated by Swan Hills MLA Jessica Shaw:

    “The architecturally-designed upgrade will bring a welcome refresh to the cafeteria and specialist classrooms at Eastern Hills Senior High School.

    “I look forward to seeing these facilities used by the community for years to come.”
