August is Family History at Wyndham Libraries

Wyndham Libraries are celebrating Family History Month during August with a series of workshops and information sessions.

Family History Month has something to suit all stages of the family history journey.

The workshops provide the perfect opportunity to find out all those unanswered questions you have about your heritage, your family history and background.

You may you want to find your biological parents through DNA matching? Why not join Diane Cuff – a skilled expert in DNA matching online on Tuesday 2 August 2022 from 10am to 11am.

Or if you are just beginning the family history journey come along and find out how to start and where to start your family history journey. Learn what resources are available to help you along the way. Come to Hoppers Crossing Library on Thursday 18 August from 11am – 12am to find out.

If you have been on the family history journey before why not find out what’s new at FamilySearch? Join Jenny Harkness from FamilySearch at Hoppers Crossing Library on Wednesday 10 August from 11am to 12pm to hear her talk about new features and how to get more out of the biggest genealogical database in the world!

Wyndham Libraries has a dedicated Family and Local History Librarian available to help you in your quest for answers every Wednesday between 10am and 11am at Hoppers Crossing Library, or by appointment.

Or if you want to share your story and learn with others, you can join a Family History Group. Family History Groups run at Hopper Crossing Library on the last Saturday of the month and at Manor Lakes Library on the second Tuesday of the month.
