AusBiotech announces Acting CEO

Ms Rosanne Hyland appointed as Acting CEO of AusBiotech

AusBiotech today announces the appointment of its Chief Operating Officer (COO) Rosanne Hyland as Acting CEO, providing continuity and leadership until a new CEO is appointed.

As COO Ms Hyland leads the day-to-day operations of AusBiotech, covering events, finance, human resources and IT/operations. With 25 years’ commercial and operational experience across multiple businesses and industries, Ms Hyland has a proven track record in managing successful and diverse teams. Prior to joining AusBiotech, Ms Hyland was General Manager of The Prince Hospitality Group for 15 years where she was responsible for 20 individual businesses, employing over 700 staff.

Ms Hyland brings a strong work ethic and broad experience in financial management, and has a genuine passion for creating a highly engaged work force focused on positive outcomes.

“I am privileged to be taking on the role of Acting CEO, taking over from Lorraine Chiroiu to continue the provision of visionary and dedicated leadership to the organisation. With the unwavering support of the hardworking AusBiotech team, I look forward to working in service of our members to further progress and champion Australia’s life science sector,” Ms Hyland says.

On behalf of the Board, AusBiotech Interim Chair Dr James Campbell remarked “The Board is pleased to welcome Rosanne as Acting CEO, bringing with her nearly two decades of leadership, operational, and financial management expertise. Rosanne has been well-entrenched in AusBiotech’s activities for the past four years and has the institutional knowledge to support AusBiotech through the CEO transition period.”

The AusBiotech Board is currently undertaking a recruitment process for the CEO position.
