Aussie no-melt ice cream a stand-out at world’s largest food festival

Flavour Creations proud to be part of the Gulfood showcase

Flavour Creations was proud to represent Australian food innovation at the world’s largest annual food and beverage trade exhibition, Gulfood, held in Dubai this month (February 17-21).

Returing from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Flavour Creations Founder and CEO Bernadette Eriksen said the international exposure would provide a springboard for the Company’s international export plans.

Flavour Creations was one of 15 Australian food and beverage companies part of the Food Innovation Australia Limited (FIAL) Taste Australia collaboration. More than 5,000 exhibitors from 120 countries attended the Dubai event which attracted trade delegations and food industry leaders sourcing new products to meet expanding global markets.

Demand for Australian-sourced food is being bolstered by the local industry’s strengths in manufacturing capability and innovative technologies.

Flavour Creations is a world leader in the development and manufacture of food and drink thickeners and textured foods and fluids.

Traditionally known for its extensive range of products to assist in the management of swallowing disorders (dysphagia), the business provides an expanding range of nutritional products for the wider consumer market.

Ms Eriksen said Flavour Creations’ freeze-thaw stable Ice Cream, available in Chocolate, Strawberry, Vanilla and a new Salted Caramel flavour with 8g Protein, attracted significant attention at Gulfood.

“The fact that our Ice Cream can be transported without refrigeration is a big plus for export,” Ms Eriksen said.
