The CommBank Matildas’ path to the Paris 2024™ Olympic Games has been made clearer following today’s Official Draw of the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament Paris 2024™ Asian Qualifiers Round 2 at AFC House in Kuala Lumpur.
Australia will host Chinese Taipei, Philippines and IR Iran in a round-robin tournament with the matches to take place between 23 October – 1 November 2023
Divided into four pots according to their seeding, 12 teams were drawn into three groups of four nations. Each group will play a single round-robin format on three separate match days.
Four teams – the three group winners and the best-ranked runners-up – will then progress to Round 3 with two sets of home and away matches to decide who will represent the Asian Football Confederation in Pairs.
