Making an Impact in the Kerang region.

We have a lot to celebrate locally. The total value of Victoria primary industry output alone reached $15 billion in 2017/2018 and the Kerang North West region has a diverse agricultural sector with a gross value of agricultural production of more than $2.2 billion (ABARES agriculture.gov.au)

Kerang is a not only a key contributor to the nation’s agriculture output but also is home to an important player in the $2 billion Australian agri-machinery industry. Dunstan Farmers Engineering have been around for more than 50 years and build a range of agriculture equipment locally including their famous orange coloured Grain Bins.

Minister for Agriculture and State Member for Northern Victoria, Jaclyn Symes MP is proud of her region and says: “The Victorian agricultural sector contributes more than $14 billion to our state’s economy, employing thousands of people – particularly in country areas.

“Our agriculture and ag-machinery industries are still the lifeblood of so many rural and regional communities – and we’re grateful to the many local businesses like Dunstan Farmers Engineering who provide training and employment opportunities, drive innovation and invest in their communities.

“Recognising the contributions these local often family owned businesses make to our sector is an important part of growing recognition for Agriculture – and I hope everyone takes a minute out to celebrate and reflect on the work they do on AgDay.”

Dunstan Farmers Engineering are making preparations to celebrate National AgDay. Mr Craig Miller, Owner of Dunstan Farmers Engineering says: “We’re pleased to get behind and support the National Farmers Federation’s Agriculture Day initiative. Our farming customers and our employees work very hard all year.

“AgDay provides us with an opportunity to pause and just say thanks for contributing to our local region and the Australian economy.

“We enjoy helping farmers from all over Australia to drive efficiencies through larger and purpose-built world-class grain bins, and equipment such as Smudgers, Livestock Feeders & Deep Rippers”.
