It will be alleged the 45-year-old Samsonvale man and a 29-year-old man from Morayfield were senior members of the Bandidos Outlaw Motorcycle Gang and shot the victim in the face and shoulder after a dispute over a debt.

His injuries at the time required surgery at the Redcliffe Hospital.

A vehicle alleged to have been used in the shooting incident was also seized for further forensic testing. It will further be alleged cannabis and a conductive energy device were also located at the residence.

A search warrant was also executed at a Samsonvale address where it will be alleged several handguns, sawn off rifle, ammunition, false identifications, dangerous drugs and a large amount of Bandido OMCG paraphernalia were seized.

Detective Superintendent Roger Lowe of the Organised Crime Gangs Group said the alleged behaviours of this gang are serious and reflect the nature of violence we see being used by OMCG nationwide.

“It is indicative of the criminal activities they are involved in. OMCGs are not motorcycle enthusiasts who get together for a good time,” Detective Superintendent Lowe said.

“Taskforce Maxima will continue to work hard to dismantle this particular gang and linked criminal network.

“As police, we continually hear the personal stories of individuals who have been associated and recruited to these gangs and live to regret their choice. They find the real truth of these gangs involves threats, violence, crime, paranoia and the associated personal costs.”

Detective Superintendent Lowe said the priority of the Organised Crime Gangs Group is the safety of our community, we will take all available actions to protect and keep our Queensland community safe from harm.

“We will not tolerate any criminal activity, anti-social behaviour or violence by these gangs,” Detective Superintendent Lowe said.
