Bass Coast Shire Council Launches Solar Savers

In another significant move towards addressing the climate emergency, Bass Coast Shire Council is proud to announce the local launch of Solar Savers, a collaboration between 16 Victorian local governments aimed at helping households and businesses install quality and affordable rooftop solar and batteries, and access government rebates.

Since 2019, Solar Savers has supported the installation of over 680 solar PV systems across Victoria. By installing rooftop solar through Solar Savers, residents and businesses in Bass Coast can reduce energy bills and future-proof against increasing energy costs, while supporting the transition to clean, renewable energy.

Through Solar Savers, households and businesses can access free and credible advice about solar products, government rebates, and tips to reduce your energy bill. Solar Savers provides peace of mind about your solar system, by partnering with a trusted solar installer, chosen through a public tender process, with independent audits conducted on 5% of all installations. Solar Savers makes installing solar:

  • Trusted: Local governments are working together to assist households and businesses to reduce energy bills and future-proof against increasing energy costs.
  • Easy: Solar Savers has done all the time-consuming work for you to recommend trusted installers with quality systems and workmanship for your home or business.
  • Affordable: Solar Savers helps step you through accessing government rebates and subsidies, to provide access to high quality equipment at affordable prices.
  • Quality: Solar Savers’ priority is ensuring that your solar PV system continues to work efficiently for years to come.
  • Accredited: Solar Savers only partner with accredited electricians and state registered installers and conduct independent audits for continued peace of mind.

Mayor, Cr Le Serve said, “Solar Savers is part of our commitment to tackling the climate and cost of living crises by empowering residents with affordable and reliable clean energy solutions.
