All Baw Baw businesspeople are invited to join internationally renowned futurist, author, business advisor and media commentator Bernard Salt at Lardner Park on Wednesday 18 May for a working breakfast all about demographic shifts and the trends that are shaping the consumer market, post-COVID.

Bernard Salt is perhaps best known for identifying and tagging new tribes and social behaviours such as the “Seachange Shift”, the “Man Drought”, “PUMCINS” (pronounced “pumkins”) and the “Goats Cheese Curtain”.

He was also responsible for popularising smashed avocados… globally. Bernard has popularised demographics through his books, columns, and media appearances.

His body of work is encapsulated in six popular best-selling books. He appears regularly as a guest on various radio and television programs and hosts a business chat show called “The Next Five Years” broadcast on SkyNews Business Channel 602.

Bernard Salt was awarded the Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the 2017 Australia Day honours.

This exclusive business event includes:

  • A keynote address from Bernard Salt on the demographic shifts that are shaping the consumer market
  • Breakfast
  • Networking opportunities

Tickets are just $20 and bookings are essential via Eventbrite.

Each ticket purchased will automatically be in the running to win a copy of Bernard Salt’s new book.

This event is proudly supported by Baw Baw Shire Council.

Quotes attributable to Mayor Cr Michael Leaney

“The last two years have been a rollercoaster of emotions, challenges, and achievements for every business owner – and staff member – right across in Baw Baw. As a tourism business operator myself, I speak from experience. Now, as the market thaws following years of pandemic disrupted business, there are just so many new variables to consider.

This session gives Baw Baw businesses access to one of the most respected minds in demographics and market understanding in Australia. I strongly encourage all businesses to take advantage of this opportunity to gain advice and insights that can help shape your business strategy for the weeks, months, and years ahead.”
