Bayside Libraries providing helping hand for exam students

As end-of-year exams approach, students across Bayside are preparing for an important period of study.

During Term 4, Bayside Libraries will be giving senior secondary and tertiary students a helping hand, with free study spaces, wi-fi, computers and learning resources, including the new VCE Study Guides collection.

Exam preparation can bring heavy study loads, pressure and concerns about what comes next.

Bayside Libraries can provide welcoming, supportive spaces where students can focus, access resources and feel connected to their community rather than studying alone.

Bayside Libraries also understand the importance of wellbeing for students during this time.

The libraries will have snacks and mindfulness craft activities available, giving students a chance to recharge between study sessions.

A therapy dog will also be visiting Beaumaris and Sandringham libraries during this time to give students a chance to take a break.

It might also be a time for students to discover mindfulness music and meditation in the e-library collection.

For students feeling the pressure, Trevor said libraries also offer the chance to prepare alongside others rather than managing the exam period alone.

Whether students need a quiet place to concentrate, resources for revision, a break between study sessions or simply a welcome change of scene, Bayside Libraries will be ready to welcome them this exam season.
