Bayside U3A celebrates opening day

The Bayside University of the Third Age (Bayside U3A) kicked off its 12th year at an opening day event in Beaumaris on Monday.

Established in 2012, the Bayside U3A is a wonderful community service keeping our seniors physically and mentally engaged, building social networks and creating community connections.

Speaking at the 2024 opening day event, Bayside Mayor, Cr Fiona Stitfold said the group plays an important role in the wellbeing of Bayside residents.

“We should always maintain our curiosity and fitness so it is encouraging to see resources available for our residents to connect with each other and stimulate their minds and bodies with interesting and challenging activities,” said Cr Stitfold.

Bayside U3A are delivering another outstanding program for our older residents in 2024, with classes and courses to suit a diverse range of interests.

For those who want to move more, there are a range of exercise classes on offer. While people interested in expanding their knowledge or skills can choose from courses in science, literature, writing, art, music, computers and more.
