Now you can play beach volleyball at the Darwin Waterfronts Recreation Lagoon.
Followingthe creation of a new beach area for the Arafura Games, theDarwin Waterfront Corporation has installed a full-size volleyball court at theRecreation Lagoon, creating a new, free outdoor activity to enjoy this DrySeason, Samuel Burke, General Manager at the Darwin Waterfront Corporation said.
Thefacility is free to use 7 days a week with a volleyball available from thelifeguards on duty from 9am to 6pm daily, or players can bring their own ball.
Thisis a simple, low-cost way for government to provide a free facility for localsand visitors which promotes a healthy and active lifestyle.
TheDarwin Waterfront is already a place where people choose to spend their timewalking, swimming and doing other exercise so the facility is yet anotheroption to get active in one of Darwins most beautiful outdoor areas.
The facilitywill be in place for the duration of the Dry Season.
