Cairns Regional Council is reminding residents that bin collection services will operate as usual this four-day long weekend, including Good Friday and Easter Monday.
Residents are reminded to ensure their bin is collected, it needs to be on the kerbside, handle towards the house, before 6am on the day of collection.
You can get bin collection day reminders through the My Cairns app, which is free to download.
Council’s transfer stations will also be operating as usual this weekend, visit the website for times.
Residents using a transfer station should keep in mind there could be longer than usual waiting times in order to allow for social distancing measures and Eftpos transitions are the preferred payment method.
