The West Beach boat ramp is currently closed after the body of a man was found in a submerged vehicle.
Police were called to the boat ramp at 6am this morning, Thursday 4 August, by a report of two cars in the water. It is believed the cars entered the water sometime overnight.
Water Operations Police attended the scene to assist with a search of the water and subsequently located the body of a man in the submerged vehicle.
Western District CIB Detectives are investigating the incident with assistance from Major Crime and Forensic Response officers.
Anyone who attended the boat ramp overnight or has any information that may assist police is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
