A body, believed to be that of a man reported missing from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, has been located.
The 71-year-old Mona Vale man was last seen about 7.30am on Monday 30 October 2023.
When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
Following extensive inquiries and a multi-agency search with assistance from PolAir, Public Order and Riot Squad, Police Rescue, Westpac Rescue Helicopter and State Emergency Service volunteers, about 4.30pm today (Wednesday 1 November 2023), the body of a man was located at the headland in Mona Vale.
While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the 71-year-old man.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
