A body, believed to be that of a man reported missing from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, has been located.
The 57-year-old Dee Why man was last seen about 10pm on Saturday 16 September 2023.
When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
Following extensive inquiries and a multi-agency search with assistance from PolAir, Public Order and Riot Squad, Police Rescue, Police Diving Unit, Westpac Rescue Helicopter and State Emergency Service volunteers, about 12pm today (Friday 22 September 2023), PolAir located the body of a man below a headland in Dee Why.
Whilst the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the 57-year-old man.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
