Whether clearing space for Christmas gifts or clearing up after Christmas festivities, Maroondah residents are urged to book the on-call hard waste collection service early to avoid disappointment during the holiday period.
There will be a limited number of hard waste collections available prior to Christmas. Bookings can be made online, in person at one of Council’s service centres, via live chat, or by calling 1300 88 22 33.
From now until Wednesday 30 December, all online bookings will be scheduled for collection the week beginning 4 January 2021.
Once you have booked online, our customer service team will email you with details of when to place your hard waste out for collection. Please only place hard waste out the weekend prior to your collection as this helps to minimise the amount of time items are left out on the naturestrip and let’s us know it is not illegally dumped waste.
You can still make a booking for collection prior to Christmas by phone, in person or via live chat. There are a limited number of hard waste collections available in the weeks beginning Monday 21 and 28 December. (The deadline to book in person, over the phone or live chat is 12 noon on Thursday 24 December).
- Collections for the week beginning 21 December will be capped. Bookings taken once the limit is reached will be collected the week beginning 28 December.
