Boosting visitor experiences in Territory

NT Government

Territory tourism businesses can now apply for the next round of highly sought after Visitor Experience Enhancement Program VEEP grants worth up to $50,000 to upgrade facilities and promote world class holiday experiences.

Positive customer reviews, whether from locals or visitors, are crucial to the ongoing success and growth of Territory tourism and hospitality.

Grants awarded under the program have been used to support a range of projects that customers want including new air conditioning, kitchen upgrades, improved lighting, solar projects and reinvigorated pool and outdoor hospitality areas.

Applicants able to demonstrate the greatest need for visitor enhancement, through customer feedback, will be given priority.

The Territory Labor Government has provided $6 million to 239 businesses for projects over the past four funding rounds. With private enterprise investing an additional $15 million towards their projects.

This grant complements the opening of the second Roadhouse to Recovery grant program last week. Roadhouse to Recovery grants are designed to bolster the customer experience of our remote Territory remote roadhouses, wayside inns and remote caravan parks.

Round five opens today and applications close on 30 August 2021 with successful applicants to complete projects by 30 April 2022.
