It was a great honour to present Mr Alan Dare’s family with the Queensland Police Bravery Medal at a ceremony in Chinchilla this weekend.
The medal acknowledges his valiant actions at the Wieambilla incident in December, when he moved toward danger in a desire to help others.
In posthumously awarding this medal, his legacy becomes intrinsically linked with our fallen officers, Constables Rachel McCrow and Mathew Arnold- three very brave Queenslanders.
