Bass Coast Shire Council will be carrying out condition assessments on over 400 buildings and structures during October and November.
Council has engaged Knowledge Asset Management to carry out the condition assessments on all buildings on council owned or managed land. Knowledge Asset Management will also complete a comprehensive valuation and develop a maintenance and renewal plan for all Council owned buildings.
The building inspections have begun and are expected to be completed by mid-November.
This assessment process will ensure that all Council managed buildings are safe and usable facilities, that can continue to accommodate a broad range of community needs and activities.
Over the next six weeks a representative from Knowledge Asset Management will be visiting sites to undertake these inspections. This work will be completed with minimum disturbance to tenants.
