Parramatta Councillor, technology business leader and passionate community advocate, Sreeni Pillamarri, will bring more than two decades of business and community experience as the Liberal candidate for Parramatta.
Since calling Australia home in 1998, Sreeni has served the community through leadership roles in local government, charities and business. He has more than 25 years in information technology and business leadership, including 15 years as Managing Director of Australian technology company SoftLabs.
As a Parramatta Councillor, Sreeni has built a strong reputation for working with local residents, businesses and sporting clubs to advocate for better infrastructure, improved sporting facilities and the protection of local heritage.
Sreeni Pillamarri says he wants to draw on that experience to help Parramatta reach its full potential.
“Parramatta is a place where people come to build a better future – to raise a family, start a business and contribute to our vibrant and diverse community,” Mr Pillamarri said.
“That story is close to my heart. Australia has given me extraordinary opportunities, and I want to give back by standing up for the community I am proud to call home.
“Through my work in business and on council, I know how much can be achieved when we listen to people, work together, and focus on practical outcomes.
“I want local families to feel confident about their future, small businesses to have the opportunity to grow, and our community to have the roads, transport, schools and services it needs.”
Mr Pillamarri said Parramatta needed a stronger voice in Parliament as families and businesses faced growing pressures under Labor.
“Chris Minns and Labor have taken Parramatta for granted. Over the past four years, our beautiful community has been struggling, as families see everyday costs grow higher and higher, and businesses struggle to survive because of Labor’s growing debt and poor economic management,” Mr Pillamarri said. “Parramatta deserves a government and a representative focused on easing these pressures.”
“Parramatta is full of incredible potential, but we cannot continue to miss out on essential investment in infrastructure and services that Parramatta needs and deserves.
“The Liberals have a record of delivery, with investment in local amenities, building the light rail and strong economic management. Now under Labor, we see the streets of Parramatta turning into a ghost town with a record number of businesses closing and families unable to afford to go out.
“That’s why my focus is on practical cost of living support for families, lower taxes for small businesses and investment that keeps Parramatta moving toward a stronger future.”
As part of Kellie Sloane’s NSW Liberal team, Sreeni will fight every day for more investment in Parramatta’s roads, transport, schools and the essential services people rely on.
