AI: Journey Forward – Local Business Workshop: Bayside

Local business owners and their teams explored how artificial intelligence could support everyday tasks at AI: The Journey Forward, a free workshop held at Rocksia Hotel in Banksia on Thursday 29 October.

Bayside Council partnered with Business Chamber South and LOOKUP to deliver the workshop, designed to help local businesses build the knowledge and confidence to put AI into practice.

Under the theme Less Guesswork. More Practice, the evening focused on practical applications, with live demonstrations from LOOKUP and insights from Microsoft showing how AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot, could help businesses produce high-quality work more efficiently.

The program featured an AI executive assistant demonstration by LOOKUP CEO Peter Kanteralis and a Microsoft Copilot discussion with Dean Corcoran, Senior Technologist of AI Strategy at Microsoft.

Business Chamber South President Tony Baddour moderated a panel exploring AI applications across legal, accounting and human resources services. Panellists included George Samaras of Samaras Lawyers, Andrew Kristallis of Kristallis Accounting and Audrey Smith of Fractional HR.

Participants had opportunities to ask questions, share experiences and connect with other local businesses, with the program designed to provide ideas they could put into practice in their own workplaces.
