ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC: The fire is no longer a threat to Tennant Creek township and surrounds. The control line from Canteen Creek to Elkedra has been completed and is being monitored. The fire is currently pushing northward towards the Barkly Highway along the eastern front. Active fire and smoke may be visible along the Barkly Highway. Please drive with care.
