In actual terms, the volume of finished goods stocks for total manufacturing rose 3.0 percent ($325 million) in the March 2026 quarter compared with the March 2025 quarter.
In actual terms, total manufacturing purchases rose $1.1 billion (4.1 percent), and salaries and wages rose $103 million (2.1 percent) compared with the March 2025 quarter.

Wholesale trade
When adjusted for seasonal effects, the total value of wholesale trade sales rose 3.8 percent ($1.5 billion) in the March 2026 quarter, following a 1.4 percent ($564 million) rise in the December 2025 quarter.
