Northern Territory Police are investigating an attempted stealing with violence incident at Palumpa yesterday afternoon.
Just before 5:00pm police received information that a 28-year-old man had been assaulted with a blunt weapon. Whilst packing his belongings into a vehicle the man was approached by the offender who attempted to steal the car keys.
A second victim, a 63-year-old woman, exited the vehicle in an attempt to intervene and was allegedly struck with a blunt weapon before the offender fled the scene.
Both victims received treatment for their injuries.
