Cannabis and gel blasters seized from Salisbury address

A man will face court tomorrow after police seized cannabis, gel blasters and replica firearms from his Salisbury home today.

Acting on a tip-off, Northern District police attended a Salisbury address on Tuesday 23 May.

At the premises, officers located two hydroponic grow rooms in a rear shed containing 39 cannabis plants and approximately six kilograms of dried cannabis. Further searching allegedly uncovered five gel blasters and two replica handguns.

The occupant returned to the house while police were present and was subsequently arrested.

The 30-year-old Salisbury man was charged with cultivate a commercial quantity of a controlled plant, traffic in a controlled drug, possess prescribed equipment, possess firearms without a license, divert electricity, drive disqualified and breach of bail.

He was refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court tomorrow, Wednesday 24 May.
