Police and emergency services are at the scene of a fire at Wingfield, where a hydroponic cannabis crop has been located.
About 8.15am today (Thursday 28 May) patrols were called to the premises in Fifth Street, after reports of a large fire.
MFS crews extinguished the blaze, and a cannabis crop was found inside.
Police suspect the fire may have started from electricity being illegally diverted to the premises.
Smoke from the fire is causing a traffic hazard at the intersection of Grand Junction and Hanson Roads, so proceed with caution through the area.
