estimates that CarbonNet could support new industries which may deliver up to 3,000 construction jobs and then up to 1,000 ongoing operational jobs from 2030.
The report captures both the direct and indirect economic benefits related to the construction of the CarbonNet project and the operation of enabled industries such as hydrogen, fertiliser, waste to energy and gas.
Hydrogen is already being produced at the Hydrogen Energy Supply Chain (HESC) trial site and the CarbonNet project will underpin clean commercial hydrogen production if both projects are commercialised.
