Cars torched at Craigmore, South Australia

Northern District Police are investigating an incident overnight where two cars were set alight in the driveway of a Craigmore home.

Just on 4am on Wednesday 12 August, police and fire crews were called to Gooronga Drive, after two cars parked in a driveway of a home had been set alight.

Fire officers were quick to respond to extinguish the fires and stop it spreading to the nearby home, however the Hyundai and Commodore sedans were extensively damaged.

Police patrols are currently door knocking nearby homes looking for witnesses and have called in Crime Scene Examiners to attend as it appears both cars had been doused with petrol before being set alight.

Anyone with information on the incident including persons or vehicles seen in the area at the time of the fires is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
