Casey Conversations moves to Hive

City of Casey’s engagement portal, Casey Conversations is about to get a new look and an expanded toolkit, making it easier than ever for the community to stay up to date and provide feedback on a range of projects, plans and strategies being considered by Council.

The portal is being moved to a new platform called, The Hive, which has improved surveying tools, is more interactive, has improved mapping tools, and makes it easier for residents to follow a particular project or follow projects located around their suburb or by category.

There will be a seamless transition to the Hive which will be live on Monday 7 September with the same URL, conversations.casey.vic.gov.au, and all subscriber profiles will automatically be migrated to the new platform. You will, however, need to create a new password the next time you log in.

Casey’s Chair of Administrators, Noelene Duff PSM said community feedback was vital to help Council plan the services and projects Casey needs, and council wanted to ensure it had the best platform to do that.

“Changes to the Local Government Act require all Councils to embed community engagement in the development of their long-term strategic direction,” Ms Duff said.

“Especially at this time when COVID-19 restrictions have placed limitations on the ways we can reach our community, this new platform will allow us to communicate upcoming plans and strategies more effectively.

“Importantly, it’s easy for residents to use and follow projects they are interested in and I encourage all members of the community to explore the engagement opportunities that are available and provide feedback on items of interest.”
