CCTV released after Mooroopna armed robbery

Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad are seeking assistance to identify a man following an armed robbery at a licensed premises on a golf course in Mooroopna.

Investigators have been told a lone man, carrying a backpack and armed with a large kitchen knife, entered the Fairway Drive premises about 10.50pm on Thursday 6 January.

Once inside, the man confronted members of staff and made multiple demands for cash.

A staff member handed over a quantity of money and the man left the premises.

No staff members were physically injured during the incident.

Investigators have released CCTV images of a male who they believe can assist with their enquiries.

The man is described as aged approximately in his 20s, with a tanned complexion, wearing a dark green and black Everlast hoodie and with a distinctive tattoo on his left hand.

It is believed he left the scene in a silver sedan.

The vehicle travelled east on Midland Highway, before continuing onto Shepparton High Street.

Police are urging anyone who was in the vicinity of Fairway Drive, Midland Highway or High Street, Shepparton, around 10.50pm on Thursday 6 January to check dashcam footage.
