CCTV released in appeal over armed robberies in Marrickville

Investigators are appealing for public assistance and have released CCTV as part of an investigation into two armed robberies in Marrickville last week.

About 11pm on Monday 18 July 2022, a man allegedly armed with a knife threatened three people and demanded their personal belongings at the intersection of Saywell Street and Shirley Street, Marrickville.

At the same location, just after 9pm on Thursday (21 July 2022), a man allegedly armed with a knife threatened another man before fleeing the scene with his personal belongings.

No injuries were reported from the incidents.

Both incidents were reported to officers from Inner West Police Area Command, who commenced investigations.

As inquiries continue, detectives have released CCTV and a description of man who may be able to assist with their investigation.

He is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his early 20s, between 175cm – 180cm tall, of slim build and wearing a dark hooded jacket, dark pants and white shoes.
